Century Engineering has an exciting opportunity for a mid-level Electrical Engineer based in our Hunt Valley, MD office. The person filling this position will be a member of our multi-disciplinary MEP team and will work under the direction of an experienced project leader with a professional engineering license. Projects will include new construction and renovation for both public and private sectors.

Responsibilities:
 
Perform field investigations to determine existing conditions
Design all aspects of building electrical engineering projects, including contract document preparation
Assist in man-hour estimating
Draft technical specifications
Interpret and apply all applicable federal, state and/or local codes
Complete projects ranging from moderate to high complexity
Coordinate work with other disciplines
Exercise a wide degree of independent thought and judgment
Occasionally travel to project/client sites to complete tasks or attend meetings
 
Qualifications:
 
Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering highly preferred, but not required
Minimum of 7 years' experience with power, lighting, fire alarm and low voltage system design for new construction and renovation of buildings
Must be proficient in the use of AutoCAD or REVIT
Project management experience required
Ability to work independently on project designs with minimal oversight, from project kickoff through Construction Administration
Professional Engineering License and LEED certification a plus
Strong written and oral communication skills
Attention to detail, responsiveness, and the ability to handle multiple projects
Ability to establish and maintain positive working relationships with co-workers, project managers, supervisors, and other team members
Valid driver's license with demonstrated safe driving practices
