Step into Your New Role


Kleinfelder is currently seeking an Air Quality/Environmental Compliance Professional.  The position is available at our Charlotte or Raleigh, NC office. The successful candidate will provide multi-media environmental compliance support to industrial and other clients, to include: air permitting, stormwater permitting, SPCC plan development, waste management support, air emission control evaluations, compliance auditing, and industrial hygiene support. Additional activities may include site assessment and groundwater remediation support.  Experience with one or more of the following is ideal for this position:


  • Air quality permitting, emissions inventories, Title V, and NESHAP compliance including NSR and BACT evaluations;
  • Mobile and stationary source air quality dispersion modeling   
  • Preparing Voluntary and mandatory GHG reports
  • Preparation of EPCRA-related reports and supporting documentation;
  • SWPPP and SPCC Plans;
  • Conducting environmental compliance audits; and
  • Developing and maintaining client relationships.


Minimum Requirements


  • Bachelor of Science degree in engineering or environmental sciences
  • A minimum of 1 - 7 years of progressive experience in any of the disciplines referenced above.
  • Advanced writing skills and high degree of proficiency in mathematics and problem-solving
