Qualifications:

  • Hold a Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering from an accredited college or university.
  • Possess a valid Texas Professional Civil Engineer's License.
  • Has a minimum of 8 years of hands-on experience in roadway design for transportation   projects.
  • Possess TxDOT Precertification Work Category 4.2.1 Roadway Design
  • Proficiency in Microstation and Geopak is essential, and familiarity with OpenRoads 3D is a plus.
  • Knowledge of roadway design principles for City, County, and TxDOT roadway projects.
  • Exceptional communication skills, with a proven track record of preparing plan sets, Opinions of Probable cost, and coordinating with utility providers during construction plan preparation.
  • Exhibit leadership qualities, including effective communication and collaboration, with the ability to lead technical staff in a team-oriented environment.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Lead project teams to accomplish task assignments related to schematic design and PS&E for roadway and highway projects in accordance with federal, state, and local requirements.
  • Act as the Project Manager and Project Engineer, overseeing all operations related to transportation projects.
  • Develop, manage, and monitor project activities, including scope, budget, and schedule management.
  • Attend design review meetings and interact with clients.
  • Support efforts in proposal development, project scoping, and client relationship development.
  • Provide guidance and supervision to supporting staff working on transportation projects.
  • Engage with engineering organizations such as ACEC, ASCE, and AASHTO.
  • Contribute to company-wide transportation initiatives.
