Kleinfelder’s Boston office is seeking an experienced Project Architect to add to its growing team. This opportunity provides expertise to high profile local projects and is a key part of a fast-paced, growing sector of our business.  

 

This position will provide expertise to a diversity of architectural projects through various phases of design for our federal, transportation, municipal, and higher-ed markets. Kleinfelder emphasizes high technical design standards in the quality of our work. The successful candidate will have strong previous relevant experience in all phases design, permitting, and construction administration, provides leadership and mentoring to junior design team staff, and possesses expertise in areas of building design and technology, building code, permitting, technical reviews, and accessibility standards. In this role the candidate will support principal architects and coordinate the work of project staff with in-house expertise, outside consultants, and owner representatives.

 

What You’ll Need:

  • 6-10 years of professional experience in architectural design.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Architecture is required, a master degree is preferred.
  • Knowledge of pre-design and pre-construction, design implementation, project delivery methods, building systems/ components and technology, building codes and accessibility standards.
  • Professional License
  • Ability to work in Revit. 
  • Strong verbal, written, and graphic communication skills
