Job Description

Century Engineering, Inc. is seeking a responsible candidate for Construction Project Manager working under the guidance of the Construction Services Department Manager. The successful candidate will provide construction management services for multiple small to medium sized construction projects for clients with county and local municipalities.

The successful candidate is expected to oversee construction inspection staff, perform document control, facilitate meetings, communicate with clients, and prepare reports.  The candidate will be expected to be well organized, capable of managing multiple tasks and prioritizing deadlines.

Required Skills:

  • Excellent written and oral communication skills are required
  • Excellent customer service skills, either in-person, via telephone or via email, including experience dealing with all levels of customers, including private citizens, community leaders and elected officials
  • Strong computer skills, including e-mail and formal correspondence as well as good file management practices
  • Knowledge of concrete and asphalt concrete construction, including sidewalks and curb and gutters; as well as knowledge of guardrail construction policies and practices
  • Knowledge of ADA construction policies and procedures as it relates to the highway industry
  • MARTCP and CCM certifications a plus.

Required Experience:

  • Minimum of seven years of experience in construction contract management/inspection in Public Works and/or Highway industry
  • Experience administering construction contracts is required
