Step into Your New Role

Kleinfelder is looking for an experienced hiring coordinator. The ideal candidate will have experience with the hiring process and a passion for teamwork. This critical role will help ensure consistency in the hiring process; starting from understanding Kleinfelder’s West Division near and long-term hiring needs, working with hiring managers and other stakeholders to create compelling job requisitions, partnering with our internal recruiting team to post requisitions and help with initial candidate screening, and circling back to the hiring managers to ensure that we are promptly evaluating exceptional candidates. This role will also work with Kleinfelder’s internal marketing team to create externally oriented and innovative advertising campaigns centered around key hiring needs.

The focus of the role will be to support and facilitate the hiring of critical staffing needs across Kleinfelder’s West Division. This will involve working with our internal recruiting team, division leadership, Area Managers, and hiring managers to ensure there is a holistic approach to identifying needed staff, how we will source them (e.g., internal recruiting team, external recruiters, staffing agencies, campus recruiting, etc.), ensuring hiring managers are actively following up on candidates, providing materials to hiring managers/interviews to better tell our story, helping ensure that we put out a competitive/our best offer, and tracking progress.

Specific tasks/activities may include the following:

  • Develop and track Area-specific and Division hiring plans using current fiscal year plans and anticipated turnover to ensure sufficient staff are available to execute work.
  • Maintain hiring plans in “living” format to reflect real time changes that impact the West Division business situation and strategy.
  • Coordinate with Areas to ensure current list of requisitions are accurate and up to date so the recruiting team isn’t spending time sourcing/screening candidates that are not needed.
  • Work with the Area Managers, Division leadership, and Corporate recruiting to ensure that all parties are in sync on the hiring strategy. This will involve holding regular calls to track progress, and adjust the plan as needed.
  • Support the Corporate recruiting team to ensure the West Division hiring managers are responding in a timely manner to all recruiting requests.
  • Work with Recruiting team and Division Leadership to develop a West Division Best Practices, SOPs, and expectations for hiring managers and hiring process.
  • Schedule interviews with the hiring manager and West Division candidates.
  • Maintain a West Division Microsoft Teams “Critical Needs” channel to house all hiring plans, meeting minutes, etc and use the chat function to share pertinent information with team.
  • Develop a West Division Campus recruiting program with Corporate Recruiting, Division leadership, and Area leadership to target 3-5 campus’s that will be included in the program. Implement “playbook” provided by Corporate Recruiting.
  • Manage the Skillbridge program for the West Division, working with counterparts in the East and Central Divisions.
  • Provide other talent support within the West Division including, but not limited to, exit interviews, and onboarding activities.

Desired Experience and Education

High school diploma or equivalent required, Associates or Bachelor’s degree preferred; with a minimum of three years of professional experience and a minimum of one year sourcing administration or similar experience.

Industry experience preferred.

Candidate will need to be within the proximity to one of Kleinfelder’s offices in California, Washington, or Nevada.
