Step into Your New Role
Kleinfelder is seeking a Environmental Technical Leader experienced in environmental assessment / remediation / compliance to sit in our Houston office. 
 
The technical professional will have experience developing environmental assessment / remediation strategies, interfacing with client representatives, and leading technical teams to drive sites to closure. The technical professional will have assessment / remediation experience with a focus on development of regulatory closure strategies.  They will have close interaction with the client, ensuring quality of service as well as developing new work.  They may actively manage projects, develop/lead proposal teams, develop work with existing and new clients. 
 
Responsibilities include:
  • Developing strategies to achieve project objectives.
  • authoring and peer reviewing technical reports,
  • proactively progressing projects toward regulatory closure
  • developing work with new and/or existing clients
 
Qualified candidates should possess:
10+ years of environmental consulting experience including:
  • Achieving no further action approvals
  • RCRA engineering experience - permits, tank certifications, etc.
  • Chemical process experience
  • Familiarity with TRRP Program and RCRA requirements
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Proven ability to work with and lead technical teams
  • High standards for quality, loss prevention and attention to detail
  • Proposal writing and cost estimating experience
  • Personnel training and mentoring experience
  • Experience in leading proposal teams and development work with new and existing clients
 
This is a senior-level position which requires working within the context of local, state, federal regulations and client requirements, and involves interfacing with clients, project stakeholders and project teams to implement successful assessment / remediation strategies. Applicants should be prepared to provide client references as well as employer references.
 
Skills desired:
  • Technical writing and review of complex reports
  • Data interpretation and comparison with regulatory standards
  • Client and regulatory interfacing
  • Mentoring and developing junior technical professionals
 
Education: Texas PE or PG license required. Minimum degree: B.S. in Environmental Engineering, Geology or Environmental Science  
 

All new hire medical surveillance physical exams include a nine-panel, split specimen drug screen and a breath alcohol test. All drug and alcohol testing is conducted in accordance with Kleinfelder’s Substance Abuse Policy. This position may be subject to client mandated random screenings.
