Step into Your New Role

Kleinfelder is currently seeking an experienced Construction Manager for roadway and utility projects in our Rocky Hill office.

Responsibilities of this position include: 

• Monitor the construction of roadways and utilities to ensure compliance with contract documents.
• Interact professionally and cooperatively with the Owner, Contractor and Kleinfelder's design team to expeditiously address construction challenges.
• Lead on-site construction progress meetings attended by the Owner, Contractor and regulatory agency representatives.
• Prepare daily reports of construction progress.
• Participate in the review of contractor submittals and Requests for Information.
• Review contractor's monthly payment requests.
• Review and evaluate potential change orders and negotiate change order cost proposals.
• Coordinate facility testing and startup activities.
• Evaluate substantial and final completion.

Experience: 

Minimum of 5 years successful past experience with similar responsibilities on multi-million dollar construction projects involving roadway and utilities.

Education:

B.S. degree in Construction Management,  Engineering or Architecture; or equivalent experience and/or education
