We welcome all college/university students or technical trade/vocational students who are interested in joining our growing organization to complete our online application process. We typically desire students studying Civil Engineering with a focus on Transportation, Environmental, and Mechanical/Electrical Engineering. As a Kleinfelder Intern, you will focus on learning how our organization runs, and can expect to gain valuable insight that can further your interest within your chosen career field. You will also have an opportunity to meet with several department managers and learn more about the ins-and-outs of our firm's procedures and operations. 

Our Hunt Valley, MD is seeking an engineering intern to join the team.

Position Requirements:

• Prepare basic drawings using information given by engineers, designers or architects.
• Assist with field investigations to determine existing conditions
•  Assist in the preparation of construction cost estimates and/or quantity take-off. 
• Assist in drafting design solutions for routine issues. 
• Assist in the preparation of various permit packages. 
• Tabulate data using computer spreadsheets and CAD 
•  Assist in coordination of all projects and work with designers or engineers.

Education:

• Actively enrolled in an applicable field of study.
• Basic computer ability in using technical software. 
• Basic understanding of engineering and scientific concepts. 
• Attention to detail. 
• Good written and oral expression in English

Preferred Skills/Experience:

• Basic knowledge of the CAD platforms in use. 
• Knowledge of Microsoft Office software
