Kleinfelder is looking for a detail-oriented Senior Planning/Parks & Recreation Project Manager to join our southeast engineering team. With expanding opportunities in the region and a variety of clients, the ideal candidate will join our high achieving, fast-paced team. Excellent communication skills with the ability to lead and inspire a team are valued attributes for this position. The project work will be multi-disciplinary in nature, but experience in planning, parks & recreation, landscaping, and urban development is especially relevant.

 

This is a hybrid office role and can be in:

 

* Charlotte, NC

* Raleigh, NC

* Atlanta, GA

* Jacksonville, FL

* Orlando, FL

* Tampa, FL

 

Key responsibilities include:

  • Ability to target and generate new opportunities
  • Managing project execution including proposal development, project organization, subcontractor management, scheduling, financial management, health and safety stewardship, and delivery quality
  • Overseeing pursuits, designate the appropriate resources to projects, define client needs, address client concerns and suggest solutions to solve project challenges
  • Serves as “in-house” landscape architect through creation of design documents, detailed construction drawings, specifications, and cost estimates.
  • Nurturing and growing client relationships
  • Supporting the achievement of professional staffs’ career goals

Education/Certification:

  • Required, Bachelor’s Degree in Landscape Architecture, or a related field
  • Preferred, Registered Landscape Architect (RLA)

Skills & Experience:

  • Experience in technical planning, landscape design, and permitting
  • Ability to actively develop and maintain client relationships
  • Development of responses to RFP and RFQ from municipalities
  • Community and public outreach
  • Capability to assess and resolve issues and conflicts
  • Understanding of financial management of projects
  • 12+ years of related experience, including 6+ years of project management experience
