Century Engineering is seeking a Construction Inspector in Cape May, NJ. 

Job Responsibilities: 

• Inspects and monitors construction sites and the various work activities on these sites to verify adherence to standards, codes and specifications; takes action according to findings.
• Prepares daily reports documenting inspections and other relevant project information.
• Verifies lines and grades of project improvements.
• Performs quantity calculations for pay estimates.
• Performs analytical calculations such as basic earthwork, grading, and profiles.
• Performs labor compliance interviews as necessary.
• Communicates verbally and in writing with Contractor and Owner as directed.

Requirements: 

• 5+ years of direct knowledge of horizontal transportation projects including experience with soils, aggregate, concrete, and/or hot mix asphalt.

• Ability to obtain TWIC credentials

• NICET Level II, III or IV

• High school diploma or equivalent

Preferred Experience:

• Associate's degree or equivalent from two year college or technical school preferred with course work in transportation related courses, Construction Technology and Mathematics.
• Preferred certifications in ACI concrete, NRMCA, and/or ATSSA certification.
