Are you recently graduated with an engineering degree and ready to apply what you have learned to mature into your career? Are you passionate about helping solve complex challenges around the treatment, transmission and conveyance clean water and safe drinking water? Do you want to work both independently and in a collaborative, team-based environment? Kleinfelder's New Jersey-based water resources engineering team seeks two entry level water and wastewater engineers to support its growing local and regional client delivery teams. We offer a small team, mentor/mentee approach to offer immediate engagement with a variety of water projects with our diverse client base.
 
Job Responsibilities:
 
This is a fantastic opportunity to work on a wide variety of projects ranging from designing water and wastewater treatment facilities, completing planning and conceptual design studies, preparing permitting and project funding applications, developing field data, performing hydraulic and process modeling and observing construction activities helping our clients with designs becoming constructed solutions. Great projects are not the only positive aspect of this role though. You will also work with a talented and highly experienced team of professionals with a wealth of experience in the water industry, general civil engineering, construction, engineering ethics, resiliency and climate change vulnerability, project and client management and the business of engineering. Position Requirements:
 
  • B.S. in Civil or Environmental Engineering. Graduating with Bachelor’s degree in January or May 2025
  • Engineer-In-Training or willing to obtain one from one-year from hire date
  • Candidates must have a strong work ethic and an interest in working in the water/wastewater and water resources engineering field, with a focus in municipal water and wastewater treatment, sanitary and combined sewer collection systems, surface water quality, and stormwater management/green infrastructure.
  • Candidates must possess excellent organizational, communication, computer and technical writing skills.

Preferred Skills/Experience:

 

  • BioWin and/or hydraulic modeling software experience is a plus.
  • Experience with Microsoft Applications, Power Apps, Python and/or Visual Basic is also a plus.
