We have an exciting opportunity for a Facilities Department Group Manager in our Hunt Valley, MD office. Great opportunity to join a dynamic team, working collaboratively with other disciplines to achieve client and professional satisfaction. Project work is diverse, including both public and private sectors and in many different markets to include local, state and federal government as well as commercial development, industrial, healthcare, higher education, senior living and multi-family housing. The position is located in Hunt Valley, MD office. Remote work is available.

 

Responsibilities

 

  • Overall management of multiple technical groups including Building Structures, MEP, Civil/Land Development and Survey with programs and projects of varying size, with overall program/project responsibilities.
  • Manages assigned senior staff. Works independently to lead/support technical groups, using knowledge of industry and/or professional guidelines and protocols to accomplish goals, objectives and solve complex problems.
  • Provides technical expertise and leadership across the division and the industry. • Has a solid understanding of business strategies and can use business acumen to position services and capabilities to meet client needs.
  • Responsible for overall Facilities Department budget and provides direction on future growth and expansion. Lead/supports Facilities/Civil business development activities.

 

Requirements

 

  • 15+ years of experience.
  • Ability to development opportunities for team members.
  • Ensures adherence with technical guidance documents and industry standards.
  • Creates a climate of open communication/collaboration
  • As needed, directs and performs technical programs and projects of varying size, with overall program/project responsibilities.
  • Develops and maintains client relationships. Leads proposal coordination, preparation and pricing, and preparation technical assessment.
  • Has a high impact by effectively responding to client and market needs.

 

Skills and Experience

 

  • Minimum Bachelors Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering or Architectural Engineering.
  • Licensure in multiple states is highly desirable.
  • MD, VA , DC PE licensure preferred.
  • LEED Certification is a plus
