Step into Your New Role

Kleinfelder's NorCal Area is looking for a Geotechnical Project Manager to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 7-10 years of geotechnical engineering experience with a BS in Geotechnical Engineering (MS preferred). This individual will provide high-end technical leadership on complex projects. Strong analytical experience is required in the areas including, soil/rock classification, slope stability analysis, earth retention-systems, deep foundation design, soil improvement techniques, and pavement design. Knowledge of infrastructure, drilling operations and heavy civil project design and construction are preferred. Experience in leading technical projects, directing multi-functional teams and developing and mentoring junior staff. 

 

Candidate may report to any of the NorCal offices located in Sacramento, Stockton, Oakland, Santa Rosa, San Jose and Concord.

 

***We are offering a minimum $10,000 sign on bonus for this role!***

 

Requirements:

  • Proven experience in providing engineering analyses and oversight of technical delivery,
  • Leadership in proposal preparation, project scheduling and deadline delivery
  • Strong capabilities in developing work with new and existing clients
  • Ability to effectively lead and mentor project teams and staff
  • Stewardship of quality, and Risk management
  • Experience in Northern California strongly desired
  • Ability to bring personal client relationship/portfolio work to Kleinfelder a plus
  • Adherence to project budgets and financial performance

 

Experience:

  • Minimum 7-10 years of related experience in geotechnical engineering and knowledge of applicable laws and regulations required
  • Proven experience in geotechnical engineering in either a technical or project management role in a professional services firm
  • PE in CA or the ability to obtain within 4 months required, GE preferred

Benefits: Kleinfelder offers an excellent compensation and benefits package, including: medical, dental, vision, life insurance, 401(k) plan, and paid holidays. The expected salary range for the position is displayed in accordance with the California Pay Transparency Law.  Final agreed upon compensation is based upon individual qualifications and experience. Salary range: $93,787 - 161,990.
