Step into Your New Role

Kleinfelder is seeking an experienced Senior Air Quality Professional to join our team in the Denver, Colorado office!

 

The primary role of this position is to provide environmental and engineering technical support for various aspects of air quality compliance programs including:

  • preparation of emission inventories,
  • permit application development,
  • regulatory review,
  • compliance recordkeeping,
  • greenhouse gas reporting,
  • Leads teams of internal or external technical resources to bring the most appropriate technical expertise for the solution
  • Mentors and supervises junior staff on problem solving approaches, developing the big picture understanding.
  • Accompanies Client Account Managers in market focused meetings or presentations

 

The applicant should have strong technical experience with air quality analyses, and also have experience interacting with clients and regulatory agencies. The ideal candidate would also have experience with leading a technical team and/or mentoring junior level staff on technical work. This position will be expected to communicate with clients, and progress to being the primary client contact in some situations.

 

The candidate should have a working knowledge of Federal and various State air quality regulations.

 

Minimum Experience:

  • Emission calculations and inventories
  • Minor source permitting
  • Proficient with air emissions software such as ProMax
  • Air quality regulations applicability determinations

Preferred Experience (beneficial but not required):

  • Greenhouse gas reporting and/or regulations
  • Major source permitting
  • NEPA air quality analyses
  • Experience specific to Colorado Oil and Gas Industry a plus
  • Willingness to learn and lead ACTS environmental database projects.

Professional Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Science, Environmental, or related
  • 10+ years of related experience years of experience in Air Quality compliance
  • Proficient at communicating with clients and public
  • Strong experience with the oil and gas industry
  • Proficient in Microsoft programs including Word and Excel
  • Strong experience with writing and communicating technical material
  • Minor travel may be necessary

The expected salary range for the position is displayed in accordance with the Colorado Equal Pay for Equal Work Act.  Final agreed upon compensation is based upon individual qualifications and experience. Salary range $$86,694-$$144,685. We will be accepting applications through February 16, 2025 (90 days since posting date).
