Job Description

As a Water Resources Project Manager joining our Delaware Area team, you will support our growing water resources market through the successful management of private and municipal projects. You will be supported by a talented project team of designers and engineers to deliver a full range of water-related engineering services that include drainage design and stormwater management design. This role in offered in our Dover or New Castle, DE office with the opportunity for a hybrid schedule

 

The candidate selected for this opportunity will:

  • Oversee and manage water resource-related projects in the region, with a focus on delivering sustainable and innovative solutions for water supply, quality, and environmental management. This includes leading a team of designers, engineers, scientists, and technical experts in conducting hydrologic and hydraulic studies, designing stormwater management systems, and addressing issues related to water treatment, groundwater, and floodplain management.
  • Ensures compliance with local, state, and federal regulations, while also fostering strong relationships with clients, stakeholders, and regulatory agencies.
  • Coordinates and engages appropriate parties related to pursuits, designating the appropriate resources to projects, defining client needs, addressing client concerns and managing engineering resources within budget.
  • Successfully execute project, from planning and permitting through design and construction, with an emphasis on meeting project goals, budgets, and timelines.
  • Lead and participate in technical, cost, and scheduling decisions, adhering to company quality standards (including internal quality control and risk management protocols such as peer reviews), and driving customer value.
  • Provide coordination and guidance during design planning, calculations, report analyses and all other water resources related elements of project plans.
  • Mentor the technical development of staff to encourage professional growth and development.
  • Support other design activities as necessary.

Required Qualifications:

 

  • B.S.  engineering, science, architecture, or related technical field.
  • 7+ years of related experience, with 4-5 years project management experience and knowledge of applicable laws and regulations required.
  • 1 + years supervisory/management experience required.
  • Minimum 4 years of drainage and stormwater design experience.
  • Experience with projects in Delaware or Maryland is highly preferred.
  • Ability to plan and organize work, analyze and solve problems, lead and strategize for client and staff growth.
