Land Surveying Project Manager

As a Land Surveying Project Manager, you will manage a variety of tasks associated with land surveying, civil engineering and construction inspection in our New Castle, Delaware office.

Responsibilities:

• Lead survey crews in the performance of boundary, topographic, right-of-way, transportation, construction surveys and construction.
• Prepare and supervise preliminary drawings utilizing electronic information provided by engineers, designers, or surveyors.
• Develop and oversee the production of CAD-based property survey, subdivision and construction plans.
• Complete FEMA Elevation certificates.
• Create moderate to complex designs suitable for drafting annotation by others.
• Produce Stormwater, E&S and NPDES designs.
• Develop project cost estimates, proposals, budgets, and cost schedules.
• Collaborate with engineers and designers on various design challenges.
• Generate detailed field notes and prepare maps and sketches from survey data.
• Read and interpret plans and blueprints.
• Maintain compliance with project Quality Assurance/Quality Control standards.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or surveying.
• 8-10 years of land surveying experience.
• Professional Land Surveyor License in the State of New Jersey.
• Strong knowledge of the principles, techniques, terminology and computer-systems applications relating to surveying & engineering.
• Proficiency in conducting field measurements and performing area and volume calculations.
• Exceptional oral and written communication skills, and outstanding attention to detail.
• Ability to prepare reports, proposals, estimates, cost schedules, and budgets.
• Current/valid State Driver's License with demonstrated safe driving practices required.

Preferred Certifications/Experience:

• Advanced computer skills using AutoCAD, Civil 3D, Carlson software a plus.
• Professional Land Surveyor in the state of Delaware, Maryland and Virginia.

Recognized certifications for UAS Pilots, a plus. Job-specific training will be provided.
