PREFERENCE WILL BE GIVEN TO THOSE WITH EXPERIENCE IN CONSTRUCTION SERVICES

 

We are looking for a highly motivated, organized individual who can provide excellent customer service and assist in delivering on internal and external client requests in a fast-paced environment. The individual must demonstrate a working understanding of our business and be able to assist in facilitating the group’s objectives. Our Dispatcher will be responsible for the daily coordination of our construction materials testing technicians and inspectors for construction projects where the technicians and inspectors test and inspect soils, concrete, asphalt, masonry, reinforcing steel, etc., throughout Southern California.

 

General Job Duties:

 

  • Schedule and dispatch technicians and inspectors to project sites based on skill set, certifications, location, project, and priority
  • Follow safety rules and practices for all projects
  • Daily communication with contractors and project managers – reporting any safety or quality concerns to project managers immediately
  • Maintain field files electronically, such as Daily Field Reports, Work Orders, Health & Safety Plans, and Certification Logs
  • Assist in operational management, including but not limited to timesheet and daily field report reviews, facilities, vehicle maintenance, office security, and IT support
  • Various administrative and laboratory duties as assigned

Critical competencies required for this position include:

 

  • Must be proficient in Microsoft Office suite
  • Must have strong written and oral communication skills
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks with interruptions
  • Experience working in a deadline-driven environment
  • Experience in proactively assessing the needs of those being supported
  • Capability to make decisions within guidelines
  • Must be able to work in a team environment 

Experience: Minimum of 2 years of related experience

 

Education: High school diploma or equivalent required.

 

Computer Skills:

Advanced knowledge of MS Office including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint required. Deltek database knowledge is preferred.

 

Valid Driver's License required.

The expected salary range for the position is displayed in accordance with the California Pay Scale Disclosure Law. Final agreed upon compensation is based upon individual qualifications and experience. Hourly pay range: $24.11 - $40.25/hr.
