Doucet, a Kleinfelder Company, is seeking a collaborative and adaptable Project Administrator to complement our Land Development team. In this role, you will provide administrative support to the Department Manager and engineering team. You will also supply information, maintain files, schedule appointments, produce correspondence, and relieve supervisors of minor administrative and business duties. A successful candidate relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. This role will perform a variety of tasks while working under minimal supervision and uses a great deal of creativity and latitude.

Qualifications:

  • High school graduate or equivalent.
  • 5+ years of experience in a clerical or secretarial position supporting multiple staff members.
  • Effective oral and written communication skills.
  • Proven ability to build, foster, and maintain professional relationships with all levels of employees within an organization.
  • Ability to work within a team environment with minimal supervision.
  • You have excellent computer skills and proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel.
  • Previous experience coordinating civil engineering projects is preferred.

Duties & Functions:

  • Collaborate with the project team, contributing to the entire project lifecycle.
  • Prepares and sends out Requests for Proposals to sub-consultants and orders other reports as needed and prepares Two-Party Agreements (“Agreement Between Engineer and Consultant”).
  • Coordinates with staff or couriers to make local deliveries and submittals to local governments and state agencies.
  • Help discern requirements and assign tasks to team members.
  • Work collaboratively with the team leader, project manager and team to maximize productivity.
  • Organize and monitor schedules and see that deadlines are met.
  • Interacts directly with clients and facilitates client/department manager communication autonomously.
  • Orientation/mentor/train new hires in processes and procedures.
