Step into Your New Role

Kleinfelderhas a great growth and leadership opportunity in its East Division Water Market Segment Manager. 

 

Position Summary:

The preferred candidate will provide leadership for the Government Water Market Segment within the East Division. He or she will be responsible for assessing the Government Water Market Segment including opportunities and risks, and then identifying and executing a strategy to support penetration of that market. He or she will identify target clients, regulatory, economically and need driven opportunities, and aid the Area Managers to build a team capable of winning and profitably executing on projects. He or she will help ensure that a solid process for Go/No-Go decisions is utilized. He or she will identify subject matter experts critical to success in the market. He or she will use knowledge of industry and/or professional guidelines and protocols to accomplish goals and objectives and to solve complex problems.

 

RESPONSIBILITIES :

  • Meet or exceed Government Water Market Segment plan objectives for Sales, Cost of Sales, and Profitability.
  • Plan annual goals and budgets for Market Segment activities.
  • Analyze Government Water Market Segment drivers and identify unique new business opportunities for high growth and profitability.
  • Identify related conferences and other overhead expenses needed to accomplish goals.
  • Assist in the evaluation of prospective clients and opportunities, reinforcing sound business decision-making.
  • Engage in proposal teams, proposal reviews and mock interviews for major pursuits to ensure sound client value propositions have been developed.
  • Mentor Project Managers and Client Account Managers and other client-facing personnel in the Government Water Market Segment to improve their BD skills and activities.
  • Engage in the recruiting, mentoring, coaching, and performance evaluation of employees.
  • Engage in local organizations and conferences important to our clients and the Government Water Market Segment. Engage in committees and give presentations at events, not just attend.

EXPERIENCE & ACADEMIC REQUIREMENTS

  • Education: B.S. degree in Engineering or related field required. Master’s/MBA degree or equivalent preferred.
  • Experience: 15-20 years of related experience, 5 or more years of professional and project management experience in consulting engineering, business and knowledge of applicable laws and regulations required.
  • Certification/Registration: Professional registration preferred.
  • Other Knowledge and Skills: Superior communication skills and in-depth knowledge of company service and products. Experience in mergers and acquisitions integration is a bonus.

 

Preferred Skills/Experience: 

  • Be a recognized leader in their field with consulting experience
  • Have experience being externally focused to grow client relationships and develop business
  • Be able to collaborate with Area leadership and Project Managers to resource delivery effectively
  • Have excellent written and verbal communication skills, and the ability to work independently and in multidisciplinary teams

Benefits:Kleinfelder offers an excellent compensation and benefits package, including: medical, dental, vision, life insurance, 401(k) plan, and paid holidays. The expected salary range for the position is displayed in accordance with the Colorado Equal Pay for Equal Work Act.  Final agreed upon compensation is based upon individual qualifications and experience. Salary range: $130,000 - $215,000.
