Join Doucet, a Kleinfelder Company, and embark on an exciting opportunity to enhance our Public Works/Water Resources team in our San Antonio office. As a Project Manager, you will play a pivotal role, collaborating closely with all levels of management, technical experts, and construction leaders. Your primary responsibility will be to ensure the successful execution and completion of water and wastewater projects, primarily serving local governments in central Texas. This role offers ample potential for career growth and advancement within the company.
More responsibilities include:
• Lead, mentor, and oversee design and technical aspects of the team(s) projects including detailed engineering design and calculations, report writing, permitting (local and state) and presentations to clients, public agencies, and the general public.
• Develop or test models of alternate designs or processing methods to assess feasibility, sustainability, operating condition effects, potential new applications, or necessity of modification.
• Conduct feasibility studies for the construction of facilities, such as water supply systems, surface water treatment facilities, groundwater treatment plants, well construction oversight, potable water pipelines, sanitary sewer collection systems and lift stations.
• Ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and in compliance with all applicable codes and regulations.
• Conduct field investigations, oversee permitting processes, and provide construction oversight.
• Serve as a key client liaison, maintaining strong relationships and identifying new opportunities for growth.
• Mentor and supervise junior and mid-level engineers, guiding their development.
• Contribute to business development efforts through proposal preparation and client presentations.
Qualifications:
• Bachelor of Science degree in civil engineering from an accredited college
or university
• Professional Engineer (P.E.) designation in the State of Texas with 10 years of experience managing substantial water and wastewater projects from
conception to completion
• 10 years of experience in potable water and/or wastewater design, including facilities, pumping, treatment and permitting
