Your Role:  The HR Operations Director will oversee and manage Corporate HR functions to support employee engagement, compliance, and productivity.  This role is responsible for managing HR processes, including employee data management, compensation and benefits administration as well as talent acquisition and learning and development.    The role will ensure collaboration with the Divisional HR Business Partners to drive Corporate initiatives to streamline services and ensure accurate reporting to deliver exceptional employee support.

 

Key Responsibilities:

HR Process Management

  • Review existing core processes for efficiencies and make recommendations for improvement.
  • Oversee all core HR processes, including compensation, benefits, employee onboarding and offboarding, and benefits.
  • Provide oversight on information systems (HRIS), ensuring data integrity and the seamless integration with other organizational tools.
  • Oversee efficient procedures for HR data management, record-keeping, and document processing.
  • Review, develop and execute action plans (where appropriate) for HR policy and procedure changes.
  • Analyze key performance data to recommend and implement continuous process improvements.

Compliance and Reporting

  • Ensure that the Corporate HR function is in compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations.
  • Ensure the preparation and submission of required reports and filings, including EEO, AAP, and other labor law requirements.
  • Regularly audit operational HR practices to maintain compliance and mitigate risk, updating policies as necessary.

HR Technology and Vendor Management

  • Ensure HRIS functionality, troubleshooting system issues, and implementing enhancements to improve user experience.
  • Coordinate with external vendors for benefits and other HR-related services, ensuring performance aligns with organizational expectations.

Talent Acquisition

  • Provide management and direction to the Recruitment Operations Manager to ensure engagement from the business and serve as the escalation point to help resolve issues.

Learning and Development (L&D)

  • Provide management and direction to the Sr. L&D Manager in designing, developing and implementing learning strategies and programs that will address business and learning needs.

Employee Relations and Support

  • Act as a point of escalation for operational HR employee relations issues and resolve employee inquiries regarding HR policies, benefits, and other processes where necessary.
  • Collaborate with the HR team and managers to address employee concerns, maintain engagement, and support retention efforts.

Strategic Initiatives

  • Collaborate with the CHRO on HR strategy by identifying and implementing initiatives that improve operational efficiencies to enhance the employee experience.
  • Drive process improvements within the HR function, identifying areas for automation and streamlining to reduce costs and enhance accuracy.
  • Develop and maintain metrics to measure and report on HR effectiveness and service delivery.
  • Coordinate with the HRBP’s to support their impact on company operations in the Divisions.

 

What We’re Looking For:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field. 
  • A minimum of 15 years of experience in HR operations, with at least eight years in a managerial or leadership role in a similar size organization.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of HR functions and best practices, including compliance, compensation, benefits, talent management and HRIS.
  • Strong proficiency with HRIS platforms (UKG preferred), ATS software (iCIMS preferred), and Microsoft Office and Excel.
  • Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
  • Certification: Senior-level professional certification (SPHR and/or SHRM-SCP) required. Certification in DISC or EIQ is a plus.
  • Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills, consulting expertise, and knowledge of company operations. Ability to manage competing demands and conflicting priorities. Strong conflict management skills, superb client management experience, self-directed and motivated. Initiative to identify and anticipate client needs with good business acumen.

Benefits:Kleinfelder offers an excellent compensation and benefits package, including: medical, dental, vision, life insurance, 401(k) plan, and paid holidays. The expected salary range for the position is displayed in accordance with the Colorado Equal Pay for Equal Work Act.  Final agreed upon compensation is based upon individual qualifications and experience. Salary range: $175,000 - $200,000.
