Kleinfelder Water Technology provides drinking water and wastewater operation services as well as laboratory testing for municipal, commercial, and industrial clients to maintain EPA compliances and provide sustainable water and wastewater solutions.

Kleinfelder Water Technoligies is seeking potential candidates for a full-time position to fill our growing demand for additional in-house laboratory/technical skills in McClure, Ohio.

 

This is a fantastic opportunity for an entry-level graduate with an associate’s in science, an experienced laboratory technician or a water/wastewater operator to gain and expand their laboratory experience in the water and wastewater field!!

 

Under supervision and collaborating with experienced staff, the successful candidate will assist in performing laboratory testing of wastewater samples for the purpose of verifying suitability and conformance for client specifications. Water/wastewater testing experience is not required but experience and knowledge of laboratory practices and ability to follow lab processes. The technician may be called upon to perform various tasks at the discretion of the supervisor. Could include some weekend and holiday hours.

 

Tasks to be performed:

Maintain equipment temperature logs, clean dishes and glassware, clean sample holding fridge, check in samples, wash and weigh filters, wash pipettes, calibrate handheld and bench top equipment, file chain of custodies and daily operations forms, and sample pick up (must have safe driving record). Analyze pH, BOD/CBOD, Solids, E. Coli, Total Phosphorus and more. Tasks will progress as the company and supervisor sees fit.

 

Personal requirements:

  • Detail and safety oriented.
  • Organizational and time management skills: must be able to multitask projects and analyses.
  • Good mechanical and mathematical skills.
  • Initiative-taking and self-disciplined.
  • Effectively communicate with clients, co-workers, and regulatory agency.
  • Must be able to use a computer and a general knowledge of MS Office is preferred.
  • Creative and innovative.
  • Clean driving record required for sample pickup.
  • Education: High School Diploma or equivalent required.
