The successful candidate will be responsible for providing environmental permitting and regulatory compliance support to transportation clients to include client development and project management of hazardous materials and remediation, SPCC, stormwater, biological resources, and NEPA compliance projects.  The successful candidate will also be responsible for managing a small but growing team of environmental permitting and regulatory compliance practitioners.

 

  • Minimum of 7-8+ years of consulting experience including 4-5+ years of experience managing environmental permitting, planning, and compliance projects in the Transportation market, and 1-2 years of supervisory/management experience.
  • Bachelor of Science degree in environmental, geosciences, or engineering field
  • Demonstrated experience managing a team of environmental professionals
  • Strong knowledge of hazardous materials and remediation, SPCC, stormwater, biological resources, and NEPA regulations in western US
  • Ability to quickly progress through Kleinfelder's project manager qualification system
  • Self-starter with the ability to work independently or within a group
  • Previous experience mentoring and training junior staff
  • Previous experience in supporting business development activities
  • Ability to travel as needed locally or out of town travel (up to 20% of the time)
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word
  • Must complete the project manager qualification card as part of PMQS.

The expected salary range for the position is displayed in accordance with the Colorado Equal Pay for Equal Work Act.  Final agreed upon compensation is based upon individual qualifications and experience. Salary range: $116,691-173,268.  We will be accepting applications through 04.08.2026 (90 days from posting date).
