Step into Your New Role

Kleinfelder is looking for a Project Controls Specialist to join our team! This position can be based in our Chico, Concord, Denver, or Atlanta offices and offers a hybrid work schedule. Other Kleinfelder offices could be considered, but the successful candidate will be required to regularly go into the office. Specialist will perform tasks in support of project scheduling, cost management, document controls and reporting activities. This position will assist project managers and program managers with the development and organization of project data.

 

Consideration for a Project Controls Specialist position requires the following certifications or experience:

 

  • Associate degree from a two-year college in Finance, Business, Project Management or equivalent combination of education and experience required. B.S. in Finance/Accounting preferred.
  • Experience: Minimum 4 years of related experience to include project controls  accounting experience, working with multiple teams, and cost management for fast-paced projects. 

 

As a Project Controls Specialist, you will be expected to:

 

  • Financial Management ‐ Assists with data collection and implementation of accounting methods, contracting, monthly invoicing, budget tracking, earned value, accounts receivable tracking, status reports, and cost projections based on Project Manager or Project Controls Manager direction. 
  • Supports project team in aspects of document management and collaboration websites.  Works to ensure the project file structure complies with Kleinfelder guidelines where applicable.
  • Assists in the logical creation of additional folder structure, usage, and document filing for all areas of  the project.
  • Assists with project tasks such as project funding and project communications.

Benefits: Kleinfelder, and its’ subsidiaries and affiliates, offers an excellent compensation and benefits package, including: medical, dental, vision, life insurance, 401(k) plan, and paid holidays. The expected salary range for the position is displayed in accordance with the California Pay Transparency Law and the  Colorado Equal Pay for Equal Work Act.  Final agreed upon compensation is based upon individual qualifications and experience. Salary range: $60,196 - $105,487.
