Step into Your New Role

Kleinfelder is looking for a Project Manager to join our Sacramento, CA office. Project Managers are responsible for leading utility projects, working with a cross functional project team to plan, design, construct, and close out projects. Project Managers provide organizational, financial and scheduling services, attend site visits, and coordinate with client. This work is vital for ensuring the safety and reliability of the utility systems responsible for providing energy to families and businesses in our clients' service territories.
 
Consideration for the Project Manager opportunity requires the following: 

  • Minimum of 2 days a week in office
  • Minimum 3 years project related experience and knowledge of applicable federal, state, and local laws and regulations 
    Technical communication
  • Proficient use of MS Outlook, Word, Excel, Project, and PowerPoint
    Utility, Construction or Telecommunications Project Management experience preferred
    Valid Driver’s license 
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Science or related technical field
  • Minimum of 6 years of related experience

 

As a Project Manager, you will be expected to:

  • Place safety as the highest priority
  • Attend project meetings to provide critical path updates
  • Lead and facilitate meetings in a professional manner
  • Communicate and coordinate with project teams to complete projects by client deadlines
  • Create, monitor, and update project schedules
  • Create and update financial forecasts
  • Monitor and control budgets
  • Ensure overall contract alignment and compliance
  • Provide management and oversite of subcontractors
  • Review and approve invoices
  • Provide project status reports to clients
  • Project management of internal resources and subcontractors
  • Travel to project sites as needed

Benefits:  Kleinfelder, and its’ subsidiaries and affiliates, offers an excellent compensation and benefits package, including: medical, dental, vision, life insurance, 401(k) plan, and paid holidays.  The expected salary range for the position is displayed in accordance with the California Equal Pay Act.  Final agreed upon compensation is based upon individual qualifications and experience. Salary range: $102,341 - $187,959.
