Step into Your New Role:

Kleinfelder is seeking an Environmental Professional to support an existing abandoned mines program across the Mid-Atlantic to support project development, permitting and engineering, bid package development, environmental compliance, and construction administration and growth of client contracts with public sector and non-profit clients, and other local stakeholders. This hybrid position is available in the Bridgeport, WV office.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the design and permitting for existing and new mine reclamation projects varying in size and scope from conceptual development through construction.
  • Maintain Collaboration and Communicate with clients and team members to align expectations with project delivery.
  • Mentor junior professionals, engineers and designers; delegate effectively; provide clear feedback; promote a culture of learning and development.
  • Drive profitability and efficiency by assisting the Project Manager and Program Managers with managing scope, schedule, and budget to deliver on time and within budget while meeting quality expectations of all stakeholders.
  • Assess and prepare mitigation plans for emergency projects relating to landslides, mine subsidence and reclamation; including site support and contractor coordination as needed.

 

Qualifications:

  • BS in Environmental Studies or other natural sciences is preferred.
  • 6+ years of Mine Reclamation project experience including design and construction support.
  • 6+ years of delineation, design and permitting experience related to stream and wetland restoration/mitigation, Rosgen Level I, II and III preferred.
  • Professional approach is appropriate to represent the company in all settings.
  • Solid professional relationships with key regional clients and team partners as it relates to mine reclamation and site development.
  • Demonstrated ability to deliver results on challenging projects.
