- Prepare reports and analyses for drainage and stormwater designs
- Design and analyze erosion and sediment control practices
- Prepare plans and details illustrating designs for drainage, stormwater, and erosion and sediment control
- Review and comment on water resource related elements of project plans
- Perform investigation, analysis, and reporting on water resource and drainage related studies
- Perform quantity take-offs and cost estimates

Qualifications:

- BSCE from an ABET accredited engineering program (MSCE preferred)

- Familiarity with AASHTO, PennDOT and PTC standards required

OQ Certification must be obtained within one month of employment. Responsibilities:Under the direction of a Utility Locate Supervisor, the person filling this role will perform work that involves visual inspection of predefined construction areas as well as reading and interpretation of utility maps to determine the presence of underground utilities, while using special electronic equipment to detect and locate said utilities. Responsibilities:
- Review designs and documentation to ensure compliance with codes, standards and design criteria
- Prepare designs, calculations, schematics, layouts, and studies from field inspections, preliminary sketches, specifications, and instructions requiring knowledge of engineering practices and shop and field procedures
- Develop asset data integrity strategy, including processes for data capture and validation
- Perform asset investigation. Create electric components list and capture required asset information
- Acquire and analyze data using appropriate standard quantitative methods

- Develop status reports with task completion, progress, challenges and solutions
- Oversee all civil, mechanical, and electrical conceptual designs, including technology selection, preliminary layouts and production of detailed plan sets for solar projects.
- Coordinate with internal teams on design and value engineering input, in preparation for permitting and interconnection.
- Leverage cost and performance knowledge to inform early-stage design decisions and equipment selection.
- Develop and lead cost estimating tools across both construction and procurement; expand cost estimating data source and accuracy.
- Perform detailed engineering designs and technical reviews of low voltage distribution, high voltage transmission, and PV solar design packages
Skills & Experience:
- 6-10 years of relevant experience
- Familiarity with instrumentation and controls design for remote control, feedback and automation (Preferred)
- Utility Business Understanding (Preferred)
- Working knowledge of CAD and GIS software (Desired)
- Familiarity with the National Electric Code (NED), electrical power transmission and distribution systems (Desired)

Must be a team player, able to work as a member of a survey crew performing boundary, topographic, right-of way, transportation, and construction surveys. Responsibilities:
- Complete site control, boundary reconnaissance, construction staking and topographic, surveys
- Assist with all aspects of the daily crew assignment to include maintenance of survey equipment and supplies
- Utilize electronic distance measuring equipment, GPS receivers and electronic data collectors to perform surveying tasks

Step into Your New RoleThe Salt Lake City Office (Taylorsville, UT) office has an immediate opening for an Entry-level Environmental Engineer or Geologist. This position within Kleinfelder involves the collection of environmental data from sites in various stages of the assessment and remediation process. Under direct supervision, this person will participate in and be responsible for completing defined field and office tasks including:
- Groundwater sampling
- Collection of soil samples
- Installation of monitoring wells
- Phase I Environmental Site Assessments
- Spill Prevention Control and Countermeasures (SPCC) Plans and Storm Water Pollution Prevention Plans (SWPPP) preparations and inspections
- Air quality permitting and engineering
- Identification and evaluation of sensitive receptors
- Analyzing and interpreting analytical data
- Authoring technical reports
- Progressing sites towards regulatory closure
- Learning and honing the fundamentals of environmental data collection
- Analytical data validation and Quality Assurance/Quality Control (QA/QC)
- Observation and documentation in support of scientific investigations and engineered solutions.
This role requires working within the context of local, state, federal regulations, client requirements, and as a part of a project team under the direction of a project manager with other staff professionals. Experience:
- 0-2 years of experience. The ideal candidate will have a strong interest in environmental engineering or geology.
- Environmental field sampling experience preferred
- OSHA 40HR HAZWOPER training preferred
- For engineering candidates, E.I.T. preferred.
