Our geotechnical engineering team works on challenging and interesting projects within a design center that includes bridge, structural, civil, and water resources engineers, environmental professionals, and laboratory and construction oversight personnel. We work on a large variety of both public and private infrastructure systems ranging from small to large-scale bridges, transit systems, roadways, water and storm water systems, tunnels, commercial structures, deep excavations, and more, all while managing complexities of dense urban sites or difficult mountainous terrain.
The ideal candidate should have a minimum of a Bachelor's degree in Civil, Geotechnical, or Geological Engineering with 5-10 years of related geotechnical experience and a PE in CA required or the ability to obtain within 6 months. A Master’s degree in Geotechnical, Geological Engineering, or Civil Engineering with a Geotechnical Focus is highly preferred.
The successful candidate will conduct field explorations, construction observations, engineering analyses, and other technical support under direct supervision assisting senior operations and technical staff.
Responsibilities include:
- Proposal development
- Oversight of field investigations
- Comprehension of local geologic conditions
- Proficiency in some geotechnical engineering software (examples include Slope/W or SLIDE, SHAFT, LPILE, APILE, Settle3)

Minimum requirements:
- Minimum 12 years of experience in construction management on large civil, water / wastewater and/or building public works projects OR has served as a project manager for a public works contractor
- Bachelor’s degree in construction management, Engineering, or other related field (Candidates with 20+ years of experience will be accepted in lieu of a bachelor’s degree)
- Experienced in using document control software, Microsoft Office and P6 software.
- Experience with business development, marketing, and leading proposal development
- OSHA 30 certification or ability to obtain
- Valid US Driver's License
- Technical experience and skills related to managing a large construction management projects
- Highly developed interpersonal, analytical and communication (written and verbal) skills
- High level of professionalism and ethical behavior associated with being a licensed professional or working under a licensed professional in Nevada.
Preferred requirements:
- Professional Engineer (PE) license, Certified Construction Manager (CCM) by CMAA Certification or Project Management Professional (PMP) preferred.

Qualifications:

- Knowledge of civil components, such as: earthwork, grading, drainage, AC and PCC pavement, traffic control, SWPPP measures, signing and striping, and utility coordination.
- Proficient at reading and interpreting plans & specifications.
- Knowledge of Caltrans construction practices preferred.
- Excellent communication skills, both oral and written are required.

We provide construction inspection and material testing services to a broad range of local and national clients. We are looking for individuals who are interested in in joining a dynamic team and building their career in the field of construction inspection and materials testing.
We're looking for a person with strong initiative, who will perform routine to complex testing of construction materials in the laboratory, to verify conformance to construction plans and specifications and geotechnical engineering purposes.
The Technician will perform testing on soils, asphalt, aggregates, and concrete materials. Must be detail oriented. Technician may be called upon to perform various tasks at the discretion of the supervisor.

Requirements:
- A minimum of ten (10) years of experience providing technical management of water/wastewater treatment projects.
- B.S. in Civil, Mechanical, Environmental, or Chemical Engineering.
- Professional Engineering license with ability to obtain New Jersey license within 6 months of start date.
- In-depth knowledge of water treatment processes and experience coordinating the various engineering disciplines involved in the design of treatment plant and distribution system improvement projects.
- A strong work ethic with excellent organizational, communication, computer and technical writing skills.

Technical Operators perform various functions in ensuring the operational efficiency and safety of the multiple plants maintained daily. We are looking to add people to the team in a flex capacity. The job description below are the kind of tasks, duties, and responsibilities needed to be performed by Technical Operators of water supply & wastewater plants:
- Operate and maintain pumps, motors, blowers.
- Complete and follow-up on work orders and process control monitoring.
- Monitor and record flow meters and system run hours.
- Service and maintain equipment and overall plant.
- Clean sand filters and media filters.
- Monitor, operate, and troubleshoot electrical controls (with proper training and equipment).
- Collect samples for analysis and maintain chain of custodies.
- Log plant operation details, on computer and in writing; prepare reports.
- Monitor treatment processes and apply standard operational adjustments based on those results
- The Technical Operator position holds multiple levels, based on experience and state certifications.
Requirements - Abilities, Knowledge, and Skills - for Technical Operator Role (FLEX)
To be a Technical Operator, you will need to meet the following requirements, which are set by the Operations Director:
- Good and effective communication skills
- Good analytical and organizational abilities are of great importance
- Possess a minimum OEPA Class A certification in both water and wastewater (or ability to obtain within 6 months) with some mechanical or electrical experience preferred
- Committed to following established policies and procedures.
- 75% field work and 25% office time

**Requirements:**

Kleinfelder is seeking qualified paleontological monitors / technicians to work on an on-call basis. The individuals would report to our Cultural Resources Group Manager located San Diego, CA; however, the position is remote and will require travel throughout Southern California, particularly in the Los Angeles area.
Requirements and Qualifications
- An undergraduate degree in geology or paleontology
- At least five years prior paleontological field experience in California is required.
- Experience should entail paleontological monitoring of construction activities, fossil collection and salvage including plaster casting, preparation of daily and weekly monitoring summaries, and coordination with a Principal Paleontologist.
- Museum collections experience is preferred, including matrix sorting, fossil preparation and collections management.
- Previous approval on BLM State Paleontological Resources Permits preferred but not required.
- The ability to travel to various project sites throughout California for extended periods of time.
- Ability to work outdoors for extended periods of time on uneven terrain and in hot and cold weather.
- Excellent interpersonal communication and attention to detail.
- Strong writing skills and clarity in notetaking.
- Experience with MS Office.
- This position requires some desktop research and writing under direction of Principal Paleontologist.
- Ability to communicate efficiently and respond quickly while working in the field.
- Experience working on state and federal lands.
- Familiarity with digital field technology (GPS, total station, iPad etc.) and GIS applications and software. Previous experience using Collector a plus.
- Ability to work both independently and with a team
