They will work with a team of civil engineers with varied engineering backgrounds to collaborate and deliver a wide range of projects for high-priority clients in New England. Responsibilities in this role will include:  - Working on Highway / Roadway design projects that incorporate multimodal facilities, traffic calming treatments, urban streets roadway designs and modifications, accessibility improvements, transit network upgrades, drainage assessments and designs, public and private utility coordination, and green infrastructure elements. - Working on cutting-edge, multi-disciplinary highway / roadway design projects for high-profile state agencies and large municipalities in the New England area while supporting and learning from Senior Project Managers while training and mentoring staff engineers. - Working on projects technically from the conceptual and preliminary engineering design phase to final design and for some contracts, through construction phase services - Coordinating with architects, bridge, environmental, geotechnical, survey, and traffic professionals, to complete multi-disciplinary project deliverables - Preparing detailed civil design plans, specifications, cost estimates, and bid packages - Working with Project Managers to ensure that production of specifications, reports and analyses meet scope, schedule, cost and quality requirements - Opportunity to build long-term client relationships and support business development initiatives.   To be successful in this role you will need:  - Experience with the various aspects of roadway design, utilities and utility coordination, development of construction documents, and construction support services. - Experience with developing roadway/highway designs in accordance with Massachusetts Department of Transportation (MassDOT) design guidelines and standards - Technical experience with highway and stormwater design software (AutoCAD, Civil 3D, HydroCAD)with capability to produce and to responsibly delegate and oversee quality engineering designs and plans. - Self-motivation with good communication and organizational skills with an eagerness to take on increasing challenges and a strong passion for the work. - Ability to work in a team environment and to maintain positive relationships with team members and clients.  Minimum Qualifications: - Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering - 3+ years' experience in the design and preparation of construction contract documents for highways. - EIT - Understanding and familiarity with MassDOT Design Guidelines and Standards - Proficiency in relative design software - Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills and a passion for building business - Ability to be flexible and work in a fast-paced environment - A passion to meet client objectives, goals and challenges  Move Forward with KleinfelderKleinfelder has been connecting great people to the best work since 1961.
