Our team is dynamic and collaborative - if this description fits what you are looking for in your career, please apply!    EXPERIENCE & ACADEMIC REQUIREMENTS - Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical or Chemical Engineering preferred.  Other disciplines will be considered with the right experience.  - 5+ years of Engineering experience in an oil and gas or related industry - 2+ years' experience in the Canadian oil and gas industry. - Previous EPCM experience is a must. - Professional Engineering designation with APEGA is a must, PMP certification is an asset. - US PE registration would be considered an asset. - Experience with gas transmission and distribution projects would be considered an asset. - Ability to demonstrate progressive project engineering and discipline engineering experience in an agile and responsive manner. - Previous experience in performing project engineering and Chemical or Mechanical engineering roles on a suite of small projects would be considered an asset. - Recent experience in executing multi-disciplinary small to medium size projects. - Experience working closely with various stakeholders including clients, project management, and other technical disciplines. - Familiar with relevant codes and standards (ASME, API). - Proficiency in MS Office Suite programs used to create reports and documents.               RESPONSIBILITIES - Leading the project engineering effort to execute small to medium sized projects varying in scope and complexity. - Creation of specific deliverables such as work scopes, project design criteria, design basis documents, technical documents, cost estimates, schedules, and other project related documents. - Initiating, inputting, and developing engineering drawings and work packages. - Assisting in the creation of other project documents such as requests for information and purchase recommendations. - Reviewing and providing input to the design team related to technical drawings. - Efficiently manage time and resources in accordance with the project plan. - Host and play an active role in team and stakeholder meetings. - Reporting on engineering and project progress against budget and schedule. and ensure coordination between the engineering, design, and project management teams. - Travel to field for project scoping, verification, construction support, and meeting with clients - Assist client account managers with business development duties as required. - Analyzing technical issues within the core engineering discipline, aided, and supported by the other specialist disciplines. - Performing calculations and developing material take-offs and cost estimates including stamping and issuing drawings. - Conducting equipment specification, sizing, and engineering calculations for system design as required. - Interpreting and apply design codes (ASME, ANSI, API, CSA). - Reviewing vendor drawings and documents for compliance with requirements. - Provide technical support to field staff as required. - Ensuring close out of projects and completion of project KPIs.                                   COMPETENCIES & SKILLS - Strong communication and collaboration skills.  - Client service oriented. - Strong attention to detail, organization, and time management skills. - Able to adapt to changing priorities in a nimble and efficient manner. - Analytical thinker and strong problem-solving skills. - Continuous learner. - Dependable self-starter.   POSITION CONDITIONS - Job is performed in an office environment; occasional travel may be required.   NOTICE TO THIRD PARTY AGENCIES Please note that Kleinfelder does not accept unsolicited resumes from recruiters or employment agencies.
